Instructor Biography
Victoria Lovett
Lieutenant Victoria Lovett has served with the New York State Police since 2004. She was recently promoted to lieutenant and serves in the Professional Standards Bureau. Prior to her promotion, she served as a Basic School non-commissioned officer as well as a patrol supervisor. She has spent time in an undercover capacity and supports the Employee Assistance Program as a peer specialist. Lieutenant Lovett served 12 years in the Army National Guard, deploying as a company commander to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While in this position, she trained and mentored personnel in combat operations and tactics. She also developed and implemented plans to reduce risk to personnel and equipment during tactical operations. She is a graduate of the Advanced Force Science Specialist course and has earned a master’s degree in counseling from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. She believes in building trust and relationships to create a positive climate within the workplace and being a positive leader.
