Michelle

Michelle Skog is a licensed professional counselor and is the clinician for the City of Tucson Public Safety Communications Department (PSCD). In her role at PSCD, she is responsible for creating and implementing a mental wellness program while also providing clinical support to the employees in the building. She attends to crisis events and critical incidents as needed, conducts wellness training for staff, and coordinates care with outside providers. As part of the executive leadership team, she has contributed to fostering a healthier working environment by creating and providing professional development opportunities. She has presented on topics such as mindfulness, stress management, compassion fatigue, and resiliency at mental health and public safety conferences. Ms. Skog received a master of counseling degree from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor’s degree in family studies from the University of Arizona. She is an emergency responder and public safety certified clinician through the National Emergency Responder & Public Safety Center.
