Instructor Biography
Esther Suarez
Investigator Esther Suarez has been with the New York State Police for 16 years. She was promoted to investigator in October 2019, and she serves in the Bureau of Criminal Investigation. In addition, she serves as a crisis negotiator and a polygraphist. Prior to this assignment, she served as a school resource officer, an academy training officer, and a school community outreach coordinator. Investigator Suarez is fluent in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish. She passionately believes in the power of respect and creating positive interactions in her community. She is also very committed to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and shares this mindset with fellow members of the law enforcement field. Investigator Suarez earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the State University of New York in Albany, New York, before entering the State Police Academy in 2007.
